Joining is easy! If you live, work, worship, volunteer or go to school in Litchfield County, or if someone in your family belongs to the Torrington Municipal & Teachers Federal Credit Union you are eligible to join
In order to join you must open a Share (savings) Account with a minimum balance of $5.00. Once you do this you are eligible to use all of the products and services offered by the TMTFCU. Once you join you are a member for life, even if you change jobs or relocate. In addition to our regular membership we offer a CLASSIC membership for those members who use four or more of our services, one of which is a loan. These members will receive an increase of 25 basis points on any of our regular Certificate rates and 25 basis points off any of our regular loan rates. All of our members receive our signature STAR service, Superior Treatment And Respect.
Your savings are federally insured to at least $250,000 and backed by the full faith and credit of the U.S. Government by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), a U.S. Government agency.
